Karachi residents protest against non-availability of power, water

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Residents of Yousaf Goth in Karachi protested against the non-availability of water and electricity in their area on Thursday.

Hundreds of people gathered at Hub River Road and blocked it for traffic due to which an intense traffic jam occurred.

The protesters stated that they are undergoing a power cut from the last 15 days due to which they also have to face shortage of water during the month of Ramazan.

They said that K-Electric officials send huge amount of bills which are paid by the people but their connection is not restored.

The protesters also said that instead of taking action against the defaulters, K-Electric officials punish all the residents of the area.

The people vowed to continue the protest until their power connection is not restored.
