Citizens in Multan, Faisalabad, Sukkur recorded their protest against the budget

MULTAN/FAISALABAD/SUKKUR (Dunya News) – Protests erupted in various cities against the Federal Budget 2016-17 as certain sectors of the public believe that the government has not been able to provide relief to a greater degree to the people, reported Dunya News on Saturday.

Women in Multan’s Dera Ada area protested over the increase in the prices of cosmetics and also termed the budget as ‘anti-public’.

Labourers in Faisalabad also recorded their protest against the budget by arranging a procession outside the Labour office. They raised slogans and demanded that the minimum increase in the wages should have been 50%.

Citizens of Sukkur also rejected the budget, as they were of the view that more burden has been placed upon the people instead of any relief being provided through the budget.
