Karachi: Three arrested for being involved in attacks on Rangers' posts
Detained individuals confessed that group of 6 members was formed to carry out the attacks
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh Rangers on Saturday arrested three workers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement s (MQM) militant wing who were involved in carrying out cracker attacks on Rangers posts in Karachi, reported Dunya News.
A raid was conducted on Shah Faisal Colony number 4 based on intelligence reports as a result of which the three perpetrators were arrested. The detained individuals are named Syed Ahsan alias SP, Abdullah Siddiqui alias pagal and Asadullah Siddiqui.
Rangers spokesperson stated that the culprits targeted Rangers posts on March 18 at Korangi crossing and one at Korangi dhai number on March 23, respectively, by carrying out cracker attacks that resulted in three Rangers’ personnel getting injured.
The detained individuals have confessed that a group of 6 members was formed to carry out the attacks whereas the names of the other three members are Rehan alias kana, Zeeshan alias tissue and Suleiman.
The purpose of these attacks, as explained by the apprehended culprits, was to avenge the arrests of target killers that were made during the Karachi Operation. Rangers have obtained a remand of 90 days after presenting the three members of MQM s militant wing before the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC).
