Karachi: 8 arrested in police, intelligence agencies operation
Fake intelligence officer among eight accused were arrested by law enforcement agencies in Karachi.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Crackdown against criminal elements in Karachi continued as law enforcement agencies carried out search operations in different parts of the city on Friday, Dunya News reported.
According to details, the law enforcement agencies conducted an operation in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block-4 and arrested a fake intelligence officer, Mir, along with his guard. Sources said that the arrested persons were shifted to some undisclosed location for further investigation.
Police carried out an operation in Aziz Bhatti area and arrested an accused named Shakir alias Chota Dacate. Police sources said that Shakir alias Chota Dacate was wanted in dozens of cases. Arms and stolen goods were also recovered from him.
Model Colony police raided a gambling den and apprehended at least six accused. According to police, arms and narcotics were also recovered from their possession.
On the other hand, some unidentified persons opened fire in Orangi Town No 4 area and killed a man. The deceased was identified as Wajid.
