Layyah toxic sweets: Death toll reaches 28
Consumption of toxic sweets has claimed another life as one more child died, taking the tally to 28.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The death toll from poisonous sweets consumed in Layyah has reached 28 as one more child died in the Jinnah Hospital, Lahore on early Thusday morning.
The 12-year-old Sanwal was shifted to Lahore’s Jinnah Hospital in critical condition.
On the other hand, a seven-member inquiry team formed to probe the incident has reached Layyah. The team was briefed by the district administration at the DCO office. Members of the inquiry team also visited the District Hospital Layyah.
