763 TDP families return homes in S. Waziristan in last four days
Each family is being provided Rs35,000 rupees as cash assistance.
PESHAWAR (Web Desk) - The return of temporarily displaced persons of South Waziristan Agency is in progress and 763 families have returned to their native areas during the last four days.
As per details, each family is being provided Rs35,000 rupees as cash assistance and six month ration.
The return of thirty thousand TDP families to South Waziristan Agency will be completed by 16th of next month.
Military offensives in Khyber and South Waziristan began in 2009 and civilians have been allowed to return to only parts of those areas.
Militants have used the areas to launch attacks in Pakistan.
After conclusion of the operation, people are generally anxious to get back, having lived in refugee camps or cramped conditions in towns and cities since being forced to leave the so-called Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
More than four million have already done so, and the government wants those left resettled by the end of 2016.
