Four severely injured as armed men open indiscriminate fire in Sahiwal
The people badly beat the head of the mafia Shahid Jutt who is a Wapda official.
SAHIWAL (Dunya News) – Atleast four people including a woman were severely injured on Sunday when armed men open indiscriminate fire in Sahiwal following a property dispute.
The incident occurred in village 134-9L where the armed men over a possession dispute of two shops opened firing after which the residents gathered at the scene.
The people badly beat the head of the mafia Shahid Jutt who is a Wapda official and a political activist.
However; the armed men while leaving their vehicle escaped when police reached the incident place.
The police confiscated weapon filled bag from the car and assisted the escape bid of Shahid Jutt.
The residents had alleged that the armed men ran away in the presence of police whereas the officials played the role of silent spectators.
On the other hand, due to the traffic jam a six-month-old child passed away in the car.
In this regard, District Police Officer (DPO) has said that a case has been registered against the suspects and will be arrested soon while stern action will be taken against those policemen who showed negligence.
Moreover, a critically injured person has been referred to Lahore for treatment.
