PM Nawaz's criticism on NAB challenged in LHC
The petition was submitted by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) lawyer Gohar Nawaz Sindhu.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Prime Minster (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s criticism on National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was challenged in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday.
The petition submitted by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) lawyer Gohar Nawaz Sindhu adopted the stance that PM Nawaz’s statement related to NAB is tantamount to putting pressure on the organization.
The plea states that NAB is an independent institute and is not a subordinate to the PM.
PM Nawaz has interfered in the under hearing cases of NAB although the organization is acting against corrupt individuals, it added.
The petitioner has requested the court to take action against PM’s statement.
