PM Nawaz resents NAB actions, urges to act responsibly
Around ten years back, Pakistan was witnessing worst kind of load-shedding, says Prime Minister
BAHAWALPUR (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has ordered National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to act responsible saying that the department raids innocent people s houses, Dunya News reported Tuesday.
The Prime Minister addressed a gathering of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) workers today.
PM Nawaz said that he does not believe in politics based on lies however, politicians these days tell nothing but lies. It is not in accordance with democratic norms that people elect a leader and another party topples his government, he added.
He said that to run government of the country is not a bed of roses but thorns. He criticised Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) sarcastically saying that the nation knows what it did for the betterment of the people in its tenure as government.
Around ten years back, Pakistan was witnessing worst kind of power outages, he added. He said that lying is justified when there is a threat to one’s life however, he has never lied to the people.
PM Nawaz, while referring to his exile by former dictator, said that a person whose homeland is everything to him could never think of spending seven years abroad.
He said that the party which had put forth a seven-point agenda could not build motorway.
He said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) raids innocent people’s houses and he has brought the issue in notice of the chairman concerned. PM Nawaz ordered the accountability bureau to perform its duties with honesty.
He ordered the NAB Chairman to take required action in the matter.
While talking about energy crisis, he posed a question to the participants asking how the country was pushed in such a quagmire. He held previous governments responsible for severe power outages in the present times. However, he said that Chinese companies admit that development projects are not completed with such speed there even.
The Prime Minister vowed to empower authorities at grass roots level to help solve people s issues. He said that three power projects would be completed by the end of 2017 which would add 3,600 Mega Watt (MW) electricity to the national circuit.

While talking about the recent agreement with Qatar regarding gas, PM Nawaz said that Pakistan would be given gas worth billions of Rupees at concessional rates due to the brotherly ties.
