He said there should be no doubt in efforts against terrorists
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa on Friday said the Operation Zarb-e-Azb has entered a complicated phase, adding that it will continue until elimination of terrorists and militants.
Talking exclusively on Dunya News’ programme Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Saath, General Bajwa said there should be no doubt in efforts against terrorists and that the pace of action against terrorism needs to be as sped up as possible.
He said the army is supporting every initiative in Balochistan, adding that the army has fully supported the civilian government in the province.
General Bajwa said he himself has been to Balochistan several times along with the Army Chief. He said a lot of projects are being built in Balochistan.
He assured that Pakistan is progressing towards peace rapidly and that the signs of restoration of peace are clearly visible.
Talking about the permanent solution, DG ISPR said the military operations are never the permanent solutions. He said they are like an emergency surgery, adding that everything will be fixed for once after the operation but for permanent and long term solution, the socio-economic development is necessary.
