9 including 2 FC officials died, 30 injured in a bomb blast on Jinnah Road near Liaquat Park

QUETTA: (Dunya News) – 9 including 2 Frontier Corps (FC) officials have on Saturday died in a bomb blast on Jinnah Road, near Liaquat Park, in Quetta. 30 others got injured in the attack. An official died and three others got injured in another firing attack on police mobile on Saryab Road, reported Dunya News.

According to details, FC car was passing by Liaquat Park on Jinnah Road when the terrorists blasted a bomb near the car. Most of those dead included the common passersby. The injured also included the common people predominantly, though FC officials were also injured. The injured also include women and kids.

Several cars including FC truck were completely destroyed in the attack. Glass and windows of the nearby building were broken. Horrendous scenes were also observed at the hospital as injured were taken there. Several of the injured are in critical condition.

Balochistan Home Secretary told that a biker collided with the FC car that caused a massive explosion.

Balochistan government’s spokesperson Anwaar ul-Haq Kakar said that the facilitators of the terrorists will be targeted with full strength.

Earlier, terrorists opened fire at a police mobile on Saryab Road, killing 1 official and injuring 3 others.

Strongly condemning both the incidents, President, Prime Minister, Governor and Balochistan CM have said that the terrorists will be pursued till their elimination.
