Government has on Friday refused to show any flexibility and has banned Pakistan International Airline (PIA) employees at the airports. At the same time, 36,000 passengers keeping confirmed tickets of the national airline weren’t paid any heed by the private airlines despite government promises, reported Dunya News.
Till now, PIA employees used to come to the airports daily, mark their attendance and leave for the protests but now Airport Security Force (ASF) has retaliated by cancelling PIA employees’ entry passes and given them a clear message that now they will either protest or work at the office.
PIA employees’ strike has so far been a headache for over 36,000 passengers who had confirmed tickets of the national airline. The strategy to strike deals with the private airlines has also failed.
Entry passes of the employees have been cancelled and entry into the airports has been denied them.
