The security personnel opened over 50 lockers and recovered items meant for passengers

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Valuable items worth several lakh rupees were recovered from lockers of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) staffers, Dunya News reported.

According to details, the stolen items from PIA flights have been recovered from lockers of PIA employees. The raid was led by PIA security manager Asad Bukhari.

Reportedly, the security personnel opened over 50 lockers and recovered items reserved for passengers in flight worth several lakh.

The staffers allegedly took that stuff to their homes while hiding from everyone. Among the stolen items are valuable cutlery used for Business Class, perfumes, towels, air fresheners, thousands of packets of milk, drinks, juices, tea packs and imported insecticide prepared particularly for flights.

The sources said that union’s officials are also involved in the scandals that also resisted the raids. The Security Manager has forwarded the report of the incident to PIA head office. As per reports, those resisted the raid include Chief Counselor Qaiser, Vice president Air League Asghar Baig and Noorul Haq.
