Another death row convict hanged in Bahawalpur
A death row prisoner was hanged at the New Central Jail Bahawalpur on Thursday.
BAHAWALPUR (Dunya News) - A death row convict has been sent to the gallows at the New Central Jail Bahawalpur on early Thursday morning, Dunya News reported.
According to details, death row prisoner Nadeem alias Nadeemi Pathan was executed for killing Mir Zaheerul Hassan Tirmizi in 1997. Nadeem’s dead body was later handed over to his relatives.
It is pertinent to mention here that Nadeem was member of a banned organization.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif lifted the moratorium on the death penalty on December 17, 2014, a day after Taliban gunmen attacked a school in Peshawar and killed 134 students and 19 adults. The killings put pressure the government to do more to tackle the insurgency.
