Aamir Sher Ali demands recounting, Rana Sanaullah says PML-N finalized formula to choose chairman

FAISALABAD: (Dunya News) – Aamir Sher Ali, brother of Federal Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali, has on Monday refused to accept the result of the local body election. He has also requested a recount of votes. Meanwhile, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) has decided the formula to choose Mayor and Chairman District Council, reported Dunya News.

According to details, Aamir Sher Ali had contested the election from the platform of Mayor group and lost the election. However, he has now rejected the results, demanding a recount of votes.

On the other hand, Rana Sanaullah has said that the ruling PML-N has decided the formula to nominate the Mayor and Chairman District Council. He told that a board will interview the candidates under the supervision of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

Moreover, District Returning Officer has also finalized the report on the violation of the code of conduct by Abid Sher Ali, his father Chaudhry Sher Ali and MPA Tahir Jamil.
