Federation giving cold shoulder to provinces, alleges Shahbaz
Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Friday lamented that none of the federal ministers contacted the provincial government regarding the rescue efforts to meet with the floods aftermath. Talking to media at Multan Airport, after visiting flood-hit areas, Shahbaz said the floods is the most severe catastrophe that hit the country which affected hundreds of thousands of people. He feared that Federations response towards the provinces in wake of the natural disaster would stoke extremism. He said huge contingents of police have been deployed in flood-ravaged areas to check rising incidents of robbery. He called for utilization of NFC funds to meet the flood crisis.
