Auditor General seeks explanation from ECP over publishing of excessive ballots

The ECP paid Rs 2.90 per ballot paper

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Auditor General has sought explanation from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) over publishing of excessive ballot papers in the general election 2013, Dunya News reported.

The ECP published at least 11.7 million excessive ballot papers that cost additional Rs 34.1 million. The ECP paid Rs 2.90 per ballot paper.

The opposition parties’ leaders including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan have repeatedly raised the issue to the authorities in the past.
