LHC dismisses appeal of death row inmate convicted by military court
The LHC judge dismissed the appeal after hearing both sides
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday dismissed appeal of a death row inmate convicted by a military court, Dunya News reported.
A two-member bench of the Lahore High Court began the hearing of the case and the petitioner Laila Bibi submitted that the military court has convicted his son Sabir Shah for the murder of Advocate Arshad Mehmood and claimed that the military court did not hear the defendant’s lawyer.
She pleaded that the military court did not conduct a fair trial. The prosecutor told in the hearing that Shah had murdered a lawyer in Misri Shah, adding that the witnesses and evidences against the convict are still present.
