Seminaries in Islamabad, Rawalpindi to remain closed on Defence Day

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Over a dozen seminaries in Islamabad and Rawalpindi are to remain closed on National Defence Day over security concerns, Dunya News reported.

According to details, extremely strict security arrangements have been made in the federal capital Islamabad and adjoining Rawalpindi. As per the sources, the district management has decided that over a dozen seminaries in the twin cities will remain closed.

These seminaries will remain closed from September 5 to 7 whereas their students will be sent home to their local areas for the off days.

The mobile phone service will also remain suspended in the twin cities on September 6 during the central ceremony.
