Terrorist arrested from Faislabad was conspiring to kidnap high profile targets: sources
Shoaib Cheema is being considered as an important commander of TTP in Punjab
FAISLABAD (Dunya News) – Terrorist arrested from Faislabad for involvement in tragedy of Attock have made sensational claims that his group is involved with kidnapper group of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and were planning to kidnap high profile targets, reported Dunya News.
According to sources, the terrorist Shoaib Cheema, his accomplice Tariq along with dozen other terrorists are being questioned by the intelligence agencies and special teams of police.
Intelligence agencies conducted a raid in Samnabad and Jaranwala Road, Lahore and apprehended suspects after which arrest of Shoaib Cheema. According to terrorists, they were planning to kidnap high profile personalities and a month ago police had killed a member of their group while another was arrested in D-Ground, Faislabad.
They were in regular contact with members of TTP, admitted the terrorist. Shoaib Cheema is being considered as an important commander of TTP in Punjab as his arrest is being hailed as a victory by the security forces.
