Karachi: Rangers' operation in Ranchor Line, 6 target-killers arrested
Rangers arrested 6 target-killers, extortionists, kidnapping for ransom suspects along with weapons
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Rangers arrested 6 target-killing, extortion and kidnapping for ransom suspects along with weapons and explosives on Monday in an operation in Ranchor Lines. Rangers’s spokesperson said that the arrested suspects belong to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), reported Dunya News.
According to Rangers’ spokesperson, one of the arrested suspects is MQM’s In-charge of Unit 28 and has been involved in many incidents of extortion and target-killing. MQM Unit 20 worker Mehmood is involved in 47 murders. MQM Unit 6 worker Shahid Kala is involved in 6 murders. Shahid Kala had also been arrested on September 16, 2014, but he was released on bail afterwards.
Murderer of 2 security guards of a cash-van and workers of political and religious parties Zubair Hundi has also been arrested. MQM Unit 20’s committee member Mobeen, who was recently released on bail, is involved in target-killing, extortion and other serious crimes while Kashif aka Macchha has already confessed involvement in target-killing and extortion activities.
Rangers’ spokesperson told that 14 SMGs, 2 LMGs, 2 hand-grenades, 5 kilograms of explosives and other modern weapons were also found with the suspects.
