Ghotki's Rawanti Police allege blind flood affectees of stealing cattle, ask for bribe

GHOTKI (Dunya News) – Rawanti Police on Friday are reported to be asking for bribe in return for visually disabled-flood affectees’ cattle that the personnel have kept forcefully.

At least three affectees belonging to Noor Muhammad village reached the river bank along with 60 bovine animals. The Rawanti Police personnel arrested the blind people and alleged them of have stolen the cattle. The police have detained an elderly person while released the other two to arrange the bribe money.

The affectees were shifting to a safer place after floods inundated their village. The police have asked at least Rs 400 bribe for each bovine animal.

Rawanti Station House Master (SHO) has threatened the visually disabled flood affectees to give bribe if they do not want their source of income to be given in custody of court.

The troubled persons are begging in streets for money while the police have a senior citizen and cattle in custody.
