Water levels surge in rivers at different points, some remain normal: Irsa

Water flow at Guddu Barrage is 212,415 cusecs and 178,211 cusecs outflow recorded

JHELUM (Dunya News) – The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Tuesday has reported increase in water levels of River Jhelum at Chashma point while also at different points of Taunsa Barrage.

The authorities said that water levels at different points are on surge while at several points the level is normal. The flow of water at Chashma is recorded at 383,175 cusecs while the inflow and outflow at Mangla Dam is 65,864 cusecs and 60,000 cusecs.

Increased water level has been reported in Taunsa Barrage where inflow stands at 270,403 cusecs and outflow at 252,403 cusecs. At Tarbela in River Sindh, inward flow is touching 247,200 cusecs while outward flow is 208,400 cusecs.

Separately, at Bala Bagh water flow has been recorded at 284,167 cusecs while discharge is 275,667 cusecs. At Nowshera in River Kabul, water flow stands at 75,900 cusecs. In River Chenab at Head Marala point, inflow has touched 112,823 cusecs while discharge remains 82,800 cusecs. Head Panjnad has 84,133 cusecs water entering while 69,353 cusecs discharge recorded.
