Load shedding not due to fault in system, K-Electric submits report to Nepra
Chairman Nepra will review report submitted by K-Electric.
KARACHI (Web Desk) – K-Electric, the private company that supplies Karachi with power, has submitted its report regarding recent power crisis to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Monday, Dunya News reported.
The report states that load shedding in the metropolis is not due to technical fault in the system. Interruption in gas supply has affected power generation.
According to sources, the report also contains figures of power generation, demand and shortfall in the city.
The report further states that no major power breakdown has took place in any part of the city, however, swift efforts were made to restore electricity in areas where supply was suspended.
The report will be reviewed by Chairman Nepra for final action.
