Export of fisheries reduced by 4pc for current fiscal year

Nearly 3 lac tons of fish and fish-oriented products were made from July 2014 to May 2015

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In spite of lifting of ban by European Union (EU), Pakistan’s export of fisheries has dropped by 4 percent for the fiscal year 2014-2015, reported Dunya News.

According Federal Bureau of Statistics, nearly 3 lac tons of fish and fish-oriented products were made from July 2014 to May 2015.

During the same time in previous fiscal year, the export amounted to 1 lac 36 thousand tons.Export of aquatic products provided Pakistan a revenue of 23 crore 30 lac dollar during last fiscal year.
