Pakistan Muslim League patron Mian Nawaz Sharif Saturday said he upholds free media in the same manner as he endorsed independent judiciary in the country. Nawaz urged his party leaders to take up such steps as could guarantee the freedom of press, so that unity and solidarity among the democratic forces of the society could be created and a way forward could be forged with hands in hands in cleansing the society of corruption. The PML-N chief added everybody would have to develop fortitude to put up with the positive criticism. I will spearhead resistance and struggle against anyonewhether ours or anyone elsewho considers restricting the media, he stressed saying the tradition to buttress your opinion with cogent argument not with force, should be given a boost.
