NATO container theft case: Court orders to free 150 suspects
Investigation of the case verified that 9 thousand, 722 containers had been disappeared
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Accountability court of Karachi declared 150 suspects in NATO containers theft case, innocent due to lack of proof on Saturday. The suspects include Custom officials and clearing agents. Dunya News exposed the scandal of thousands of NATO containers being disappeared between Karachi to Torkham border, on which then Chief Justice of Pakistan, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry took notice and ordered the investigation of the scandal.
The investigation of the case verified that 9 thousand, 722 containers had been disappeared. The agencies arrested many suspects in the case.
