The APC has been called to review the security in the province after the tragic Mastung incident

QUETTA (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday has said that the enemies of the state want to hinder its progress and weaken it by carrying out acts of terror.

He expressed these views in a meeting prior to the All Parties Conference (APC) in the Quetta Governor House.

He said that the government has vowed to curb terrorism. Operation Zarb-e-Azb is continuing successfully, he added. The PM said that the process of repatriation of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) is ongoing after the troops cleared the militant-hit areas.

The APC has been called to review the security in the province after the tragic Mastung incident that killed at least 22 people.

The meeting was attended by Commander Southern Command Lt General Nasir Janjua, Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai, Chief Minister (CM) Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, provincial minister Sanaullah Zehri, Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti, Frontier Corps (FC) Inspector General (IG) and Balochistan Police IG Amlesh Khan.
