'Jeeway Pakistan' slogans chanted in anti-India rally in held Kashmir
Pro-Pakistan slogans and hoisting of Pakistani flags in held Kashmir have become routine matter
SRI NAGAR (Dunya News) – The participants of an anti-India rally in held Kashmir chanted ‘Jeeway Pakistan’, literally ‘long live Pakistan’, among other pro-Pakistan slogans and waved Pakistani flags, Dunya News reported.
According to details, the Kashmiri people hoisted Pakistani flags late night at Hari Parbat Fort, Pachporra, Gojwara and Rawalpura among other areas which were removed by the Indian army the next morning. The Indian army is reportedly looking for people who hoisted the flags.
It merits mentioning here that Pakistani flags have been hoisted several times before in various areas in the held valley. On March 23rd, Kashmiri woman leader Aasia Andrabi held a pro-Pakistan event in which Pakistani flag was hoisted and slogans were chanted.
In April, Pakistani flags were raised in a rally by Kashmiri Huriat leaders headed by Syed Ali Geelani. The ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans chanted in the rally by freedom leader Mussarat Alam sparked an outrage in Indian media.
Amid the oppression on Kashmiri people, the uprising and vocal support for Pakistan is rising.
