Moazam Ali key suspect not prime suspect: Ch Nisar
Even though Moazam is a key suspect, the prime character is someone else, he said
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar on Wednesday said that Moazam Ali is a key suspect in Imran Farooq murder case but not the prime suspect, adding that if Pakistan hands over a suspect to the United Kingdom then they will have to reciprocate, Dunya News reported.
According to details, the federal minister said that no discussion over Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain or Moazam Ali took place during his meeting with British High Commissioner.
He said if Pakistan handed over a prisoner to the United Kingdom then it will be through a prisoner exchange in which Britain will also hand over prisoners.
Talking to the journalists outside the parliament house, Nisar said that his meeting with British High Commissioner on the same day as Altaf Hussain’s appearance at London police station is a mere coincidence.
He said Moazam Ali had used two men for Imran Farooq’s assassination, adding that even though Moazam is a key suspect, the prime character is someone else.
He said Pakistani institutions and agencies played a major role in Imran Farooq murder case. “In fact, our institutions were the ones who showed direction to Scotland Yard”, he said.
He said whether the investigation is of Saulat Mirza or of Shafqat Hussain, the findings will be brought in front of the people in any case.
