Moazzam Ali would be treated in accordance with the law, says Interior Minister

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar on Wednesday has said that Pakistani security institutions led Scotland Yard in Imran Farooq murder case. He said that his meeting with the British High Commission (BHC) had nothing to do with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain s bail expiration.

He expressed these views in a press conference in the capital.

Nisar said that the British High Commission (BHC) has been told categorically that cooperation over Imran Farooq murder case would not be unilateral. He said that Moazzam Ali would be treated in accordance with the law.

Britain would have to handover a wanted national if she needs custody of someone from Pakistan in the Imran Farooq murder case.

He said that media would be kept on the same page with the Interior Ministry. Nisar said that the court and their verdicts must be respected. He said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain’s yesterday statement was positive. Nisar said that Moazzam Ali would be treated in accordance with the law.

The minister said that Pakistani security institutions served as torchbearers for Scotland Yard to follow.
