Rangers and police will be deployed in cantt area for local body elections due to security threats
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Rangers and police will be deployed in Karachi cantonment areas for local body elections in view of the security threats, reported Dunya News.
Preparations for local body elections in six cantonment areas of Karachi are underway. Cantonment Board has decided to deploy police and rangers at polling stations to ensure security and peaceful environment during the elections.
A written application has been moved to DIG East and Rangers by Faisal Cantonment to reques security plan for 65 polling stations of 10 wards.
According to the officials, fool proof security plan will be given within next few days.
