Judicial Commission formed to investigate alleged election rigging

First meeting of the judicial commission will convene tomorrow

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A judicial commission has been formed to investigate alleged rigging in 2013 election on Wednesday, reported Dunya News.

Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk will head the three-member bench which includes Justice Ameer Hani Muslim and Justice Aijaz Afzal Khan.

The first meeting of judicial commission will convene tomorrow.

A letter requesting the formation of judicial commission to investigate election rigging had reached Supreme Court, in which a 3-member bench had been requested.

The letter had been written by Law Ministry and Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.

It is pertinent to mention here that the government had passed an ordinance to form a commission to investigate alleged rigging in 2013 elections.
