JUI-F chief said that he has strong reservations on amendments despite being govt's ally

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The government delegate has once again failed to convince JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman about the 22nd constitutional amendment while Pervaiz Rasheed has assured to address former’s concerns, Dunya News reported.

The government committee met Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief in Islamabad to address his concerns about the 22nd amendment being brought in to prevent ‘horse trading’ in the Senate election.

Addressing the media, Fazlur Rehman said that he hasn’t recovered from 21st Amendment and another amendment is being sprung upon him. He said he cannot be part of further lawmaking.

JUI-F chief said that he has strong reservations on amendments even though his party is an ally of the government.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rasheed said that Fazlur Rehman’s reservations will be communicated to the Prime Minister.
