ISLAMABAD (Dunya news) – Federal Minister for Information Pervaiz Rasheed on Monday stated that they humbly request Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf s (PTI) chairman Imran Khan to leave his personal differences aside and vote in favor of the constitutional amendment along with 35 of the members . Rasheed stated that they will try to make the 22nd constitutional amendment before 5th of March. Rasheed also stated that the Federal Cabinet has expressed suspicion on the news coming from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) regarding Senate elections. The Federal Information Minister stated that the Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan had formed 2 committees on Monday to assure the constitutional amendment made for transparency in Senate elections.
The Federal Information Minster expressed these concerns during a discussion with the media.
According to the details, Rasheed stated that all political parties including Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Awami National Party (ANP), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will be contacted by committee of Federal Ministers for the constitutional amendment. He stated that the government alone was not in a position to approve this amendment.
Answering a question, Rasheed stated that the appointment of a Chief Minister (CM) for Gilgit Balistan was done on 3 names recommended by retired PPP’s CM. He stated that the court will ask this question too if Khursheed Shah takes this case to the court.
