Non-payment of bills case: SC summons finance, power secretaries
The court has adjourned the hearing of the case till February 25.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday has summoned finance and power secretaries over non-payment of bills to K-Electric by Karachi Water and Sewerage Board, Dunya News reported.
The case was heard by three-member bench presided by Justice Saqib Nisar.
K-Electric lawyer Abid Zubairi informed the court that millions of rupees are outstanding against KWSB. KWSB s representative was of the view that Federation has to clear the dues.
After hearing the arguments, the court called on Attorney General along with finance secretary and water and power secretary to appear in the next hearing.
Subsequently, the court has adjourned the hearing till February 25.
