NA-122 rigging: EC rejects Khan's plea to suspend Ayaz Sadiq

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Election Commission on Thursday rejected Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s plea to suspend Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
EC remarked that it holds no authority to suspend any assembly member.
Imran Khan had earlier requested election tribunal to deseat Ayaz Sadiq for employing delaying tactics pertaining to investigation of rigging in NA-122. Khan had asked the tribunal to suspend Speaker NA till the final verdict.
