All religious parties against 21st amendment: Maulana Fazl
JUI-F leader said that he will continue to oppose 'discriminatory laws' like 21st amendment
DI KHAN: (Dunya News) – Jamiat Ulema Islam – Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman has said on Thursday that all the religious parties opposed the 21st amendment and said that he will continue to oppose the ‘discriminatory laws’ like 21st amendment, reported Dunya News.
Talking to media at his residence, Fazl said that Pakistan is a ‘security state’. “Establishment makes the decisions here, not the government”, he said. He said that 26,000 workers of the religious parties have so far been arrested in the country and only the religious parties’ workers are being targeted under the 21st amendment.
Criticizing the government, JUI-F leader said that it was vital to eliminate the elements causing terrorism in the country to get rid of terrorism in the country. “However, the government has failed to curb such elements”, he said.
Responding to a question, Fazl said that labeling the terrorism as ‘religious’ was unacceptable and could not be tolerated.
Opposing permanent membership status for India in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), Maulana Fazl said that it would be unfortunate to award permanent membership of the UNSC to a country like India that did not even have friendly relations with its neighboring countries.
