Application requesting reduction in electricity price by Rs. 3.20 per unit

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya news) – Central power purchasing agency on Monday sent an application requesting the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) to reduce the electricity price by Rs. 3.20 per unit.


According to the details, the central power purchasing agency’s request for reduction in per unit cost of electricity is in terms of monthly fuel adjustment charges for the month of December. The official decision for the reduction would be given by officials of NEPRA.


NEPRA has not yet announced a date for hearing of the application.


Pakistan has been facing a severe crisis in energy and power outages have become frequent and extended. Still no immediate solution to the energy crisis is to be seen.
