Petroleum ministry approves gas load management plan for the winter season

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Government has decided to keep gas supplies to CNG stations and industry of Punjab and Islamabad closed during the four months of winter. Petroleum ministry approved the gas load management plan on Sunday, Dunya News reported.

Federal Minister for Petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi presided over the meeting regarding gas load management in which it was decided that gas supplies to CNG stations and industries of Punjab and Islamabad will remain closed during the four months of winter season.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi told on this occasion that gas supplies will remain close to CNG stations and industries of Punjab and Islamabad from November 15 to March 15, 2015. However, the supplies to Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP) and Baluchistan will remain the same. He said the domestic consumers of gas will be the top priority. He said that gas supplies to domestic users will remain fine during the cooking hours while supply to the power sector will also remain stable.
