Malik Riaz announces to compensate Edhi's loss 'to some extent'

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Bahria Town founder Malik Riaz on Wednesday announced to ‘adequately’ compensate beloved philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi’s loss as Edhi was left ‘heart-broken’ after armed men robbed him of millions in cash and several kilos of gold, Dunya News reported.

Bahria Town owner Malik Riaz sent his son-in-law Zain Malik to Edhi center to express solidarity with Edhi. Malik vowed to support Edhi center in whatever way they can.

Talking to Dunya News, Bilques Edhi said that even though Bahria Town has promised to contribute whatever they can, at a times like this, even consoling someone is a great gesture.

It merits mentioning here that Nobel nominated philanthropist, loved by all sections of society, Abdul Sattar Edhi was left heart-broken after armed robbers looted millions of rupees in bonds and some 5 kilos of gold stored at the center. Edhi said even though this amount was donated to the center, he felt as though he has failed to fulfill his responsibility of guarding it.
