MQM submits application in NA to unseat Opposition Leader

Khurshid Shah doesn't enjoy majority in opposition, MQM also contacted Sheikh Rasheed

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has submitted the application in National Assembly Secretariat to change the Opposition Leader in the lower house of the parliament. MQM has also submitted the resolution of making new administrative units.

According to the text of the resolution, Opposition Leader Khurshid Shah has lost the support of majority of the opposition. The resolution also condemns the Opposition Leader’s statement that the word ‘immigrant’ is an abuse. In the other resolution, MQM has demanded new administrative units in the country.

MQM leader Senator Babar Ghauri also phoned Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rasheed and discussed with him the political situation of the country.

Talking exclusively to Dunya News, Sheikh Rasheed said that he has talked to Babar Ghauri and he will take Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan into confidence regarding this discussion. He said that Khurshid Shah has made this statement under a well thought out scheme. He said that MQM and PPP have been divorced thrice and there is no chance of reconciliation now.
