648 MPs including Imran Khan submit asset details to ECP

Election Commission extended deadline for MPs to submit asset details by 15 days.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – More than six hundred parliamentarians including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, PTI spokesperson Shireen Mazari and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar have submitted details of their assets to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
According to ECP, 526 parlaimentarians including Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak have not submitted their asset details yet.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Election Commission extended the deadline for members of the Senate, National Assembly and provincial assembly to submit their asset details by 15 days.
Prominent members including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shahbaz Sharif, Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah and Chief Minister Sindh Qasim Ali Shah submitted their assets’ details before the ECP.
The membership of the MPs failing to submit the details within the given time could be suspended. Asset details of all the members will be uploaded on the official website after October 15, 2014.
