ATC indicts Gullu Butt in Model Town vandalism case

Gullu Butt was caught on camera smashing several vehicles in Model Town area on June 17.

LAHORE (Web Desk) – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday indicted Gullu Butt in Model Town vandalism case, Dunya News reported.

During case proceedings, the investigation officer told court that Gullu Butt vandalized vehicles and harassed people in Model Town area. He has already been declared guilty in police challan.

Meanwhile, Gullu Butt pleaded innocence, saying that baseless allegations were leveled against him.

Later, the court indicted Gullu Butt and summoned witnesses in the next hearing.

Baton-wielding Gullu Butt was caught on camera openly damaging vehicles in the presence of police, during clash between police and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers near Minhajul Quran International Secretariat in Model Town area on June 17, 2014.

On June 17, more than 15 PAT protestors were killed and dozens sustaines injuries in clash with police when the police′s anti-encroachment squad launched an operation to remove the barriers from the road leading to the offices of Minhaj-ul-Quran and the residence of PAT founder Dr Tahirul Qadri in Model Town.
