Hundreds of people march towards Mangla Dam, shortfall reaches 5000MW

Hundreds of angry people took to streets in Mirpur Azad Kashmir to protest long unscheduled loadshedding. The protesters are heading towards Mangla Dam. Police resorted to firing to stop the protesters due to which several people got injured. The demonstrators maintained that Mangla Dam was constructed on their lands and they are deprived to electricity causing problem for them. Angry mob set a car on fire. Police resorted to violence against media to stop them from the coverage and pelted stones on their vehicles. Power shortfall has reached 5,000 megawatts.
