Senator Kulsoom Parveen said it has to be found out whether terrorists had internal help.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Senate’s interim committee for cabinet division termed Karachi airport attack a failure of federal and provincial governments. Committee’s chairperson Kulsoom Parveen said that it has to be found out whether terrorists had internal help, Dunya News reported.
The session of Senate interim committee for cabinet division took place under headship of Senator Kulsoom Parveen. Director General (DG) Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Air Marshal (retd) Mohammad Yousaf told the committee that a new plan has been formulated for airports’ security.
DG CAA told that a letter alerting about the possible attack was received from Interior Ministry but lack of action was exhibited due to no follow up.
DG said that misunderstandings about airport’s cold storage shooting were created, adding that no dead body was found from there. He said all seven individuals who were reported to have died in cold storage were actually hiding in their offices but could not escape.
Senator Kulsoom slammed the findings by saying don’t distort facts for the sake of defending an institution.
Secretary Civil Aviation claimed that five out of ten terrorists were killed right when they entered the airport whereas the remaining terrorists kept attacking from the hiding.
