Tahira Asif still in critical condition, Altaf Hussain appeals for blood donation

Ms Asif was critically wounded after getting shot in Lahore on Wednesday.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Tahira Asif, a member of the National Assembly belonging to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), was shifted to ICU after a long surgery.
MQM chief Altaf Hussain appealed the workers and supporters to donate the blood so that Ms Asif’s life could be saved.
MQM leader was travelling in Allama Iqbal Town when she was stopped by unknown assailants who first confirmed her identity prior to shooting her in abdomen and leg.
She was immediately shifted to Sheikh Zaid Hospital. According to the doctors four bullets pierced her body.
Doctors took out all the bullets and shifted her to the ICU but she was again taken to operation theatre owing to blood loss where she was again operated.
After the second successful surgery, she has been shifted to ICU. She is still said to be in a critical condition.
On the other hand, MQM chief Altaf Hussain has said that religious extremists are involved in the attack on Tahira Asif. He has urged the Supreme Court to take notice of the incident.
