Ogra corruption: Accountability court indicts 11 accused

All the accused pleaded not guilty to corruption.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Accountability court in Islamabad today (Monday) has indicted eleven accused including former Chairman OGRA Tauqir Sadiq in Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) corruption case.

Accountability court judge Muhammad Bashir heard the case.

During case proceedings, Senior NAB Prosecutor Raja Khurram Ijaz requested court to indict the accused, stating that all legal formalities in the case have been completed.

Meanwhile, the court indicted eleven accused including former Ogra chief Tauqir Sadiq, Abdul Rasheed Lon, Arsalan Iaqbal, Yousaf Jay, Mir Kamal Farid Bajrani, Jawad Jameel, Aqeel Karim Dhedi, Zia, Sikandar Hayat Maiken and Zaheer Sadiq.

Another accused Adovcate Mirza Mehmood was discharged for the lack of proof.

The court has directed prosecution to table evidence in the next hearing. The case hearing has been adjourned till May 29.
