Nawaz congratulates Modi, invites to visit Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday telephoned Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Narendra Modi, and congratulated him on BJP's impressive victory in Lok Sabha elections.
According to an official statement, Prime Minister talked to Narendra Modi on telephone and extended his congratulations and good wishes.
In India, the preliminary results show that Baharatiya Janata Party has won national election with a landslide victory.
BJP President Rajnath Singh congratulated party workers terming it a historic victory.
Meanwhile, outgoing Prime Minister Manmohan Singh telephoned Modi and congratulated him. He is expected to send his resignation to President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday.
