Bodies of MQM workers recovered, three ASWJ activists shot dead in Karachi

Dead bodies of two MQM workers, kidnapped four months ago, were found near Qayyumabad.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – At least five person including two activists of a religious organization were killed in separate incidents of firing and violence.

Activists of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat, Maqsood, Zia and Ansar were going for Juma prayer in Sakhi Hassan area when some unidentified persons in a car opened firing killing them on the spot. The assailants managed to escape from the scene.

Two dead bodies stuffed in sacks were found from MalirNadi near Qayyumabad. The victims were identified as 45-year-old Muhammad Ali Khan and 30-year-old Qasim Ali. The victims were workers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) who were kidnapped four months ago.

According to hospital management, both the victims were strangled to death by unknown persons.

In another incident, two persons were injured when a speedy dumper hit a motorcycle on Shahrah-e-Faisal. Angry mob set the dumper on fire after the incident.

Meanwhile, Rangers arrested six accused and recovered weapons from their possession during raids in different areas including Lasi Goth, Gulistan-e-Johar, Yusuf Goth and Lyari.
